Acupuncture
Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body, known as acupoints, using fine needles. This practice aims to balance the body’s energy flow, or Qi, which travels through pathways called meridians. By inserting needles into these points, acupuncture can influence the Qi, enhance blood flow, stimulate the nervous system, and release neurotransmitters and endorphins. These effects can reduce pain, alleviate stress, and promote healing. Acupuncture is used to treat various conditions by restoring balance and encouraging the body’s natural healing processes. Transformational Acupuncture combined with somatic practices helps to restore mental/emotional well-being and aids with mind/body integration
Studies have shown that acupuncture can provide significant relief for these conditions.
Chronic Pain: Including back and hip pain, neck and shoulder pain, osteoarthritis, knee pain, neuropathy and headaches.
Migraines: Reducing frequency and severity of migraine attacks.
Stress, Anxiety and Emotional Imbalance: Alleviating symptoms and promoting relaxation, or using Transformational Acupuncture to access the core of who we are.
Digestive Issues and IBS: Promoting healthy digestion, resolving bowel issues, treating nausea and chemotherapy-induced nausea.
Insomnia: Improving sleep quality and duration.
Menstrual Cramps: Easing pain and discomfort during menstruation.

Tuina Massage
Tuina: Is a form of Chinese massage, it uses kneading, rolling, and pressing techniques to stimulate acupoints, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension and pain. It is similar to Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. Effective for musculoskeletal disorders such as back pain, neck and shoulder pain, sports injuries and joint stiffness. It can also help with stress and insomnia.
Cupping: Involves placing suction cups on the skin to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. Useful for relieving muscle tension, chronic pain, improving blood circulation and enhancing relaxation. It is also effective in treating respiratory conditions like bronchitis and asthma.
E-stim (Electroacupuncture): Combines acupuncture with electrical stimulation to enhance the effects. It helps reduce pain, improve muscle function, and accelerate tissue repair by stimulating nerves and increasing endorphin release. Effective for chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, neuropathy, and sports injuries. It also aids in muscle recovery, reduces inflammation, and can help improve neurological conditions like sciatica and fibromyalgia.
Fertility and IVF Support
Acupuncture supports fertility and IVF by enhancing blood flow to reproductive organs, regulating hormone levels, and reducing stress. Improved blood circulation to the uterus and ovaries creates a favorable environment for egg development and implantation. By balancing hormones, acupuncture helps regulate menstrual cycles and improve ovarian function, essential for fertility. It also reduces stress and anxiety, positively impacting fertility outcomes. In IVF, acupuncture before and after embryo transfer has been shown in clinical trials to improve implantation rates. Overall, acupuncture serves as a complementary therapy, potentially increasing the success rates of fertility treatments.
