About Me

Jacqueline Feeley Lic.Ac.TCM. MAFPA, Certified Teacher MBSR & MBCT
I qualified to practise in 2006 with a Licentiate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I then travelled to China to continue with post graduate training in advanced acupuncture and medical qigong at the Zhejiang Medical University in Hangzhou. Through the university, I gained extensive clinical experience during internships at the Red Cross Hospital and the Acupuncture and Tuina Hospital. During this time I also worked in a Gynecology ward that specialised in fertility. In 2013 I completed a B.Sc (Hons) level course in Tuina, Acupuncture and TCM at the College of Oriental Medicine.
I established a clinic in Athlone in 2006 and I have been in professional practice for the last nineteen years. In 2010 I completed a one year teacher training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, where I trained with Professor Mark Williams from the Oxford Mindfulness Institute and I am qualified to teach this both as an 8 week course or on a one to one basis and I have experience leading meditation classes for 20 years.
I have also completed levels 1, 2 and 3 in Ear Acupuncture – which is particularly effective for detoxification and addictions – and I have worked together with the Drugs Task Force in Ireland in training their staff to apply the Nada 5 point protocol.
In 2022 I completed a one year training in equine sports injury massage and I also practice acupressure, cupping therapy and acupuncture on horses.
I am now going into my 4th year of a BA (Hons) in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy at ICPPD.
I am a professional member of AFPA and I fully adhere to their code of ethics which ensures safe conduct and complete client confidentiality.
